The founder of descartes

descartes was setup in 1994 providing business solutions focused on project, staff & time management. Over the years Nick has dealt with 100’s of small & medium businesses up and down the UK, as well as a few very large international firms in the UK, Europe & the US.

Along the way, Nick setup & ran a consumer lifestyle business with Helen, his wife, which they subsequently sold to start a family. As well as running descartes, Nick has oversight of the family electronics business.

As descartes grew and evolved we developed and delivered productivity & leadership training to many of our clients. In support of this Nick has undertaken hundreds of hours of personal development, holding a NLP Diploma in Advanced Communication, been trained in training techniques, learnt from Chris Howard and Tony Robbins at their live sessions in the UK and learnt from master business coach, Richard Bisiker of Personal Summits Ltd.

Having setup two business from scratch, refreshed the family business, sold a business, hired & fired, commissioned advertising, run seminars, training, delivered consultancy, managed the accounts and everything else that goes with being at the coal face in a small business environment, Nick has the experience and the training to help his clients move further toward success.

Nick always wanted to be a lumberjack but settled for being a glider pilot, scuba diver and yacht sailor as his spare time activities.

It is his passion to assist people to achieve the very best.
